ACCESSIBLE APARTMENT DENIED TO MULTI-DISABLED INDIVIDUAL

One particular property management group presented the keys for an apartment that should have been more accessible for a mobility scooter, powerchair, and/or wheelchair.  However, do note that prior to the handing out of the keys, this very same apartment had flooded several times due to plumbing problems in the master bathroom.  As per knowledge, the Disabled Individual, who was planning to relocate, requested that the premise be properly cleaned, painted, and the carpeting completely changed.  However, upon entering the apartment the tenant discovered that nothing had been done.  There was even rust on the washing machine.

A second request was made for property management to properly clean, paint and change the badly damaged carpeting -- THEIR ANSWER WAS A DEFINITE NO.  Therefore, the tenant was unable to relocate to the more accessible apartment.

TWO MONTHS LATER, THIS VERY SAME APARTMENT WAS CLEANED, PAINTED, AND THE ENTIRE CARPETING CHANGED FOR ANOTHER PROSPECTIVE TENANT, AND THEY ARE NOT APPARENTLY PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED TO REQUIRE A MOBILITY DEVICE SUCH AS A WHEELCHAIR, SCOOTER, OR POWERCHAIR.
